researchers: Prof. Dr. Angela Uttke & Juliane Heinrich; student assistants: Stefanie Bombach & Felix Bentlin
cooperating partners: planning consultant office STADTIDEE (Dortmund)
Aim of the research project is to reflect on the completed and on-going pilot projects of the research field „Adolescents in Urban Neighbourhoods“ of the programme Experimental Housing and Urban Development (ExWoSt). The practice test is designed to stimulate an exchange of experiences and enable an exchange of practical experience and knowledge. The focus is on the following facets of youth participation: themes of participation, partners and stakeholders, methods/tools and organisation, success factors and difficulties, continuation, results/products and effects as well as transferability and further development. Based on the study of pilot projects, transferable approaches and strategies for the inclusion of young people as stakeholders in urban development are developed. As a result, practice-oriented recommendations for the development of a culture of youth participation are worked out.
